Žabljak, May 06, 2014 – The Conference titled ‘Developmental Challenges of Žabljak’ was held in hotel Žabljak in organization of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia, Municipality of Žabljak and Slovenian Business Club in Montenegro. PPA representatives took active part to the Conference.
In addition to the organizers, the Conference was attended by the representatives of the Government of Montenegro, as well the representatives of the public, private and civil sector.
During the Conference the discussion focused on commenced and implemented development projects of Žabljak, then on the opinions of the Montenegro Government and of Žabljak Municipality’s in view of developing and strengthening of the overall tourism offer of Montenegro. Special attention was paid to development projects in the field of sport, tourism and environment, as to financial resources ensured by development funds in order to exploit natural potentials catching for domestic and foreign investors.
Individual consultation meetings with the representatives of stakeholders in public and private sector were held by Montenegrin PPA representatives with the aim of considering possible normative solutions in Montenegro by which the terms and the manner of drawing up, proposing and approving the PPP projects would be closely determined, as well the manner of the contract award and other relevant issues for establishing the PPP, and also the conclusion of International contracts in order to jointly conduct or use such projects.
DSc Mersad Mujevic, Director, and Mara Bogavac, Assistant Director, represented the Public Procurement Administration of Montenegro to the Conference.
