The Conference is a part of the Project ’Towards the Public Procurement Efficient Mechanisms of the Potential State Candidates to the EU membership’ conducted by Open Society Foundation, Serbia, Center for Development of Non-Profit Sector, Serbia, Open Society Foundation, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Center for civil communications, Macedonia, Network for the Affirmation of the NGO Sector (MANS), Montenegro and Open Society Foundation, Slovakia, financed by the support of the European union.
The results of comparative research on the legal and institutional framework of the Public Procurement, the effectiveness of the existing System, risks of corruption and recommendation for improvement of the Public Procurement Systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia were presented at the Conference. Special part of this research was dedicated to the harmonization of the legislation of these countries with the EU regulations.
