December, 10 2013 – Round table on the topic “Integrity in the public and private sector”, in cooperation with the Directorate for anti-corruption initiative and American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro was held in Hotel “Nikić”

Introductory speeches: Vesna Ratković, The Head of the Directorate for Anti-Corruption Initiative, Edin Seferović, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro, John Cooney, the Head of the Political and Economic Section at  U.S. Embassy in Montenegro.

 Assistant Director in the Public Procurement Administration of Montenegro Mara Bogavac took an active role on the subject of Corruption.

 Roundtable topic: Integrity in the Public and Private Sector

The Corruption in its widest meaning, comprises any abuse of power by the civil servant or by the person in charge of the certain Public Position, aiming to gain material benefits.   

The prevention of the corruption is a prerequisite of the positive work ambience. The Progress in Corruption Reduction is a good sign that the new business ideas and the new investments are welcomed making the business operations possible in the Environment of Stability and Transparency.

With the aim of avoiding and reducing the corruption to its minimum, the Roundtable Participants pointed out the significance of adoption and respect for the codes of ethics in the Public and Private Sector.
