Round Table on the topic ’Opening of the negotiation process under Chapter 23 – Judiciary and Fundamental Rights – Are we ready or not?’ held on November 15, 2013 in Hotel Podgorica in the organization of the Centre for Development of Non-Governmental Organizations (CDNGO)

The Centre for Development of NGOs (CDNGO) realised the round table in partnership with NGO organizations, Centre for Anti-Discrimination Ekvista from Podgorica, Adria from Bar and Democratic Centre Bijelo Polje. This event was   one of the key activities of the project Make the Negotiation Process Public’  financed by the European Union through the support of the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro.

The Round Table was opened by the Executive Director of CDNGO, Ms. Ana Novakovic. The introductory presentation speech was also made by Mr Alberto Cammarata, The Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, Mrs Snežana Radović, Director-General of the Directorate-General for European Integration and Mr Slaven Radunovic, the Chairperson of the Committee on European Integration. Within the preliminary speech they made, the presenters assessed the Chapter 23 as an essential test of the political will for substantial reforms to the Judicial Independence and the Politics of Depoliticization efficient fight against corruption and the full protection of human rights.

The roundtable discussion Opening the Negotiation Process under the Chapter 23 participated by 60 representatives of the NGOs, Government, Ministries, Embassies and International Organizations in Montenegro.

On behalf of the Public Procurement Administration, the Seminar was attended by Mrs. Ljiljana Nikolić and Mrs.  Zilha Bralić.
